The internet is the great frontier, enabler of dreams with endless possibilities. At the same time, it is also a wild place where many invisible dangers lurk. Unfortunately, it is really easy to take the convenience of the internet for granted and forget what they are exposed to. If you’d ever seen an ad of an item that you’ve been thinking of getting, that’s one way these invisible mechanism work behind the scenes. And that’s before exploring how vulnerable we are to hackers with malicious intent while browsing the internet.
I have always in the look out for tools that I could use to improve my security when browsing online. The latest tool that I found is the Brave web browser. Among the many web browsers in the market, I find this to have the best security features right out of the box. From their website:
Brave blocks ads and trackers, reducing your chances of being infected by malware, ransomware and spyware. In 2016, infections increased by 132%.
Brave even has HTTPS upgrades, which means more of your connections are encrypted, protecting your identity, browsing, payments and more.
They’ve also got one of the sleekest user interface to boot which is a huge plus in my books. And the logo! Anyway, here’s to a slightly more secured internet browsing experience. Be safe out there!
